Description

A reference model is mostly used to provide an insight in the industry's or clients best practices that will be the standard for the To-Be design. It may also be a resource to enable an acceleration of the analysis and design process.

A reference model is not always available. In this case a reference model could be created after 'prototyping' parts of the solution. In case more models may be applicable a selection can be made based on the prioritised business requirements.
